Shackle Affair concert at Brokkenfabriek272

Shackle is Anne LaBerge on flute and electronics and Robert van Heumen on laptop. Their aim is to explicitly and subtly exploit shackling in both concept and material.

Their performance is guided by a network system that proposes compositional paths to the players. Both players have the choice to cooperate with the system or to make suggestions. Their work is the result of an ongoing exploration of restrictions, both sonically and conceptually. Occasional video snippets are an added dimension to their most recent project.

For this installment Shackle is extending their improvisations with guest player Oguz Buyukberber on bass clarinet. They will perform a set after a presentation of the Brokkenfabriek workshop Converging Objects, that took place 4 Tuesdays in March, and was guided by Shackle.

Location: Zaal 100, De Wittenstraat 100, Amsterdam
Time: 15:30 (Converging Objects presentation) / 16:30 (Shackle Affair)
