Shackle is Anne La Berge on flute and electronics and Robert van Heumen on laptop-instrument. Their aim is to explicitly and subtly exploit shackling in both concept and material.

Shackle Affair at Splendor

by Robert on October 17, 2013

The duo Shackle is not only a vehicle for Robert and Anne to explore and discover ways to bring exciting and interactive new music to our public, it is an ongoing project to invite other artists to enter into our intimate way of working. We call Shackle + Guests the Shackle Affair.

On 17 October Anne will host her first Splendor Member concert in the newly opened Splendor building. The adventure will include two fantastic local musicians who have never performed with Shackle before:

The up and coming and very exciting young drummer, Onno Govaert.

The internationally recognized and prolific media artist Rutger Zuydervelt, otherwise known as Machinefabriek.

The audience will also be invited to be part of the Shackle Affair and to take part in the Shackle System by playing the Multiplayer Music Game with us!

To celebrate the hosting of my first member concert in the new Splendor building,
everyone will receive a their own complimentary copy of the game.
